New York | Part One

New York is one of those cities that is a must see at some point during your lifetime. I have always known this.
So when the opportunity arose to accompany my mom to the Big Apple, I didn't even hesitate.
It was my first time visiting the famous city, and let me tell you - it did not dissapoint.

On our first day we did the Foods of New York tour in Greenwhich Village. The Village was one of the prettiest locations
that I toured through, every corner was a brick and ivy covered dream. We saw the famous Joes Pizza,
Friends building, and any other well known spot used by Hollywood.
We ate 5th generation Italian meatballs, tasted olive oil, the creamiest cheese, warm chocolate chip cookies
made to perfection - and it was NY food heaven.

The Glamorous Life

Courtney from Always Rooney has asked me to be on a feature on her blog called I Like Your Style.
Courtney is super creative and has a great blog, it is an honour to be featured!

See the rest of the post here

And as a side note, I feel it appropriate and necessary to mention that right after taking these photos I sat in
dog poop. Yep. So before you all go thinking some nonsense about the glamour of being a blogger,
Let me be the first to boldly correct you. This is real life and this is definitely my life!
The sitting in poop kind of life.

But hey, at least my husband is a genius photographer and the photos turned out!

Its like August in May, amazing right?

Lately I have been really into neutrals. How can you go wrong with a bunch of neutrals. The colors feel like spring but have
the versatility to wear at any point in the year.

And you may recognize this JQ necklace from the giveaway! If not, dont worry because I am extending the contest to
run for one more week! You can enter here! I love how well the gold tassel pairs with everything! So fun and trendy for spring.

Patterned Pants, For Lack of a Better Title

Working at a clothing boutique really helps me elevate my weekend wear. My go to pieces are usually pretty comfortable
for running around on the weekend, so when i work on Saturdays - It gives me an excuse to get a little more chic.

I think what makes this outfit stand out are the printed denim. When paired with solid neutral colors, these pants really
help to make it look a little more stylish. At least that's what I was going for.

What We Wore | His&Hers

him | shirt:banana republic  pants:gap  vest:h&m  shoes:vans

My husband and I first started dating right around the time that I began my blog. At first, I was nervous to ask him to
take the photos. I was so new to blogging, not quite sure where I wanted to go with it, and feeling a little insecure about
the whole thing. To even think about asking a new boyfriend to take photos? Way too big of a step for me!

I slowly began to build confidence with it, and with our relationship as well, and eventually he became the man behind the lens.
At first, I would have to set everything up for him on my camera, so that all he would have to do was stand and snap!
Now, I barely tell him anything - in fact, I am so impressed with the creative images he comes up with. He is so technical
with my camera (and in general) that he knows more about the mechanics behind my camera than I do.

For old times sake, I told him to stand in while I took a few photos (little did he know my intentions with them... he hee..).
Anyways, here is my handsome (and slightly unprepared for a photo) husband. He has rad style. And I want to show him off!

Blush Pink Apple Blossoms

I have taken photos in this area for many of my blog posts. There is so much beauty, that it almost doesn't seem like
one location. We wandered over to this little orchard for these photos, and I have to say that I am in love with those
little apple blossoms. The soft pink sunset set a glow over the trees, it definitely was as romantic as it looks!
